PRIVACY POLICY
GetFitTruckers is a fitness app for solo long-haul drivers. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and how you get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- Your workouts are built and run on your phone. The move library and the program ship inside the app — building a workout never needs a network connection.
- You need an account to use GetFitTruckers. We collect an email address so your stops, your weights and your subscription survive a new phone.
- Health measurements you log — weight, blood pressure, neck circumference, back-pain days — are stored so you can see them trend. They are never sold, never shared with insurers, employers or carriers, and never used for advertising.
- We do not collect GPS, your route, or anything from the truck. We do record the IP address you sign in from — see IP addresses.
- We run no third-party advertising SDKs and no advertising identifiers.
- You can export or delete everything from inside the app, without emailing anyone.

What we collect

IP addresses and approximate location
Each time you sign in we record the IP address the request came from, along with the platform (iOS or Android) and app version. We use it to secure accounts, spot abuse, and understand where the app is being used.
An IP address is personal data under GDPR, so we treat it as such: it is stored separately from the rest of your profile, it is visible only to us, it is never sold or shared with advertisers, and it is deleted on the schedule below.
An IP can be turned into an approximate location — usually a country and a nearby city, never a street and never where the truck is. Where that lookup is enabled, the provider performing it is listed under Who we share with. This is not GPS: the app never requests location permission and cannot see where you are parked.
What we do not collect
GPS or precise location. Your route, ELD data, hours of service, or anything from the truck's systems. Your contacts. Your phone number. Advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID). Biometric identifiers. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party ad or analytics SDKs that do.
Uploads
GetFitTruckers has no upload feature for drivers. All exercise video and audio in the app is produced and published by us. You cannot upload a file, and no other user can send you one, so there is no user-generated content in the app at all.
Health data
The four measurements the app tracks are the ones a DOT medical examiner looks at. They are health data and we treat them as the most sensitive thing in the app:
- They are used only to show you your own trends inside the app.
- They are never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, insurers, employers, carriers or brokers.
- They are never used to train machine-learning models.
- Logging them is entirely optional. The app works without a single reading.
If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, data moves only in the direction you approve, and you can revoke that permission in iOS or Android settings at any time. Data read from Apple Health is never used for advertising or shared with third parties, as Apple's guidelines require.
GetFitTruckers is not a medical device. It does not diagnose anything and it does not decide whether you pass a DOT physical. Talk to a medical examiner, not an app.
Who we share with
We share data only with the vendors that make the app run, only what they need, and only under contract:
- Apple and Google — subscription purchase and receipt validation.
- Our hosting provider — the servers your account and history sit on.
- Our email provider — delivering your six-digit sign-in code.
- An IP geolocation provider — only where approximate-location lookup is enabled, and only the IP address is sent. No name, email or health data ever goes to them.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If we are ever acquired, your data moves with the business and this policy travels with it — you will be told before anything changes.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Where your data is stored
On servers in the United States. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Passwords do not exist in our system, so there are none to leak. If you are in the EEA or UK, transfers to the US rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account and training data — as long as your account exists.
- After you delete your account — removed within 30 days, except records a tax or legal obligation requires us to keep (purchase records, mainly).
- Crash logs — 90 days.
- Sign-in codes — 10 minutes.
- IP addresses and sign-in records — 12 months, then deleted. Deleting your account removes them immediately.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can access, export, correct or delete your data:
- Settings → Account → Export my data
- Settings → Account → Delete my account
Both work inside the app, immediately, without emailing us or waiting on support. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — cancel that with Apple or Google separately, or it keeps billing.
If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We never charge you or degrade the app for exercising a privacy right.
Children
GetFitTruckers is built for working commercial drivers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we delete it.
Security
TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and no stored passwords. No system is perfect — if we ever suffer a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulator within the timeframes the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect — not by quietly changing the date at the top.
